Our child development series offers weekly, 1-hour developmental play and parenting classes for caregivers and their curious little ones. Each class offers:

  • The perfect balance of structured play and free exploration in a clean and safe environment
  • Expert parenting advice for caregivers from highly qualified and experienced early childhood professionals
  • Circle time rich with music, props, parachute play and games that foster language development and encourage social interactions
  • Simple and useful sign language used by instructor throughout the class
  • Engaging developmental play activity(ies) that focuses on a specific area of development, such as water play, finger paint, open-ended craft, and tubes & tunnels
  • Developmental rationale for each activity and the opportunity to discuss milestones and parenting topics such as sleeping, routines, feeding, relationships, behavior and more
  • Consistent, comforting class routines-- children learn what to expect and feel safe to play and explore
  • Story time , bubbles, and goodbye song    

Child Development and Parenting Classes​


Little Lunas (7 - 10 months)
The second class in our child development series, Little Lunas is for babies who are sitting independently and soon to be on the go! Whether sitting and reaching, scooting or crawling, babies in this class love to explore and are ready to try their hands at some more sophisticated play activities.  Our interactive circle time will continue to add to your song repertoire and highlight your baby's sprouting social skills.  Parenting topics include: solid and finger foods, nap/night time sleep, limit setting/discipline, separation anxiety, baby sign language and more.    

  • Wednesdays 12:30-1:30 pm (starts 4/5)
  • Fridays 12:30 -1:30 pm (starts 4/7)


Moon Walkers (11-15 months)
The third class in our child development and parenting series, Moon Walkers is for our newest and youngest toddlers!  Crawling, cruising, or walking, these little girls and guys will have a  ball seeing their pals, exploring new and exciting sensory materials and interacting with their caregivers.  Watch as your little one begins to imitate actions in familiar circle-time songs, follow simple directions and anticipate what's coming next! Topics covered include: transitioning from two naps to one, picky eating, positive discipline, tantrums and language development. With multiple learning stations to explore, this is the perfect class for your amazing, busy toddler!

Curious Comets (15-23 months)
Toddlers in our Curious Comets class are little scientists engaged in endless exploration and problem-solving!  Multiple learning stations allow toddlers to explore at their own pace, and new and more sophisticated songs, toys and activities are introduced to reflect your child's developing skills. With new activities and songs each session, this is a class you can enjoy all year long!  Topics discussed include: trouble-shooting naps and night time sleep, picky eating, tantrums, discipline, language development and more.

  • Mondays 9:00-10:00 a.m.
  • Thursdays 9:00-10:00 a.m.


Shooting Stars (24-36 months) 
Older toddlers in our Shooting Stars class have fun while they practice following directions, using simple phrases, making requests and taking turns.  At our play-based learning stations, children will paint with new and interesting tools, play with water, put on puppet shows, balance on river stones and much, much more! Topics covered include nap resisting, bedtime stalling, potty training, tantrums, discipline, aggressive behaviors and more.  With new activities and songs each session, this is a class you can enjoy all year long!

Rocketeers (2.9-4yrs with parent)

A new preschool-age development and parenting class! Caregivers will enjoy spending some quality time with their children as they engage in developmentally appropriate learning and sensory activities.  A focus will be placed on preschool readiness and social skills. Plenty of cooperative and pretend play await!  Caregivers will also be provided with the opportunity to discuss common parenting challenges of 3 year olds, including behavior and discipline, potty training, sleep and more!

Mixed-Age and/or Siblings  (9-36 months)
Same great structure and parenting support as our age-specific development classes, but for multiple age groups, including siblings! There are many documented benefits to mixing age groups when learning is involved.   We offer this class as an opportunity to teach empathy, role modeling, compassion, cooperation, patience and social learning. All the children are encouraged to interact with each other and learn together through peer-group play. This is a perfect class for siblings as well!  *Siblings under 9 months at  start of session may attend free of charge.  Should baby turn 9 months while class is in session, cost will be pro-rated for the remaining classes of that session.
